Review Photos From Today

Remember what you were doing a year ago? Two years ago? Five? This workflow looks through your photo library for pictures taken on today's date in previous years and brings them to you as a little morning dose of nostalgia.

Steps

1. Use your photos skill or file skill to search your photo library for images taken on today's date (same month and day) in previous years.
2. Group the photos by year, starting with the most recent.
3. For each year with photos, pick the 2-3 most interesting or meaningful ones (avoid duplicates, blurry shots, and screenshots).
4. Add a brief note about what was happening based on context clues — location, people, events.
5. Present the memories in a warm, nostalgic format.

📅 1 year ago (2025):
- Beach sunset in Santa Cruz with friends
- Group photo at the boardwalk
  "Looks like a great weekend trip!"

📅 3 years ago (2023):
- Snow day! Backyard covered in snow
- Your dog Biscuit's first snow experience
  "Biscuit was NOT impressed 😄"

📅 5 years ago (2021):
- Homemade bread (sourdough phase!)
- Zoom call screenshot with college friends
  "Peak pandemic era — but you were staying connected."

No photos found for 2024 or 2022 on this date.

Notes

• Skip years where no photos exist on this date — don't mention gaps unless the user asks.
• Avoid surfacing photos that might be sensitive (ex-partners, difficult memories). When in doubt, lean toward happy, neutral moments.
• If the photo library isn't accessible, let the user know and suggest how to connect it.
• Keep the commentary light and positive. This is meant to be a feel-good morning moment.
• Respect privacy — never share or transmit photos anywhere. Just display them to the user.
