A2A Chatting enables communication, coordination, and information exchange between AI agents through controlled multi-turn chat sessions. Unlike single-shot agent interactions, this skill maintains conversation context across multiple messages and persists session history for future reference.
Built for the OpenClaw agent ecosystem, A2A Chatting lets agents discover each other, initiate conversations, and conduct extended dialogues — a foundational capability for multi-agent workflows.
A2A Chatting operates as a command-line wrapper around the OpenClaw CLI. Sessions are stored in the openclaw directory with metadata indexed in sessions.jsonl and individual conversation files per session. The shell script manages session lifecycle while the OpenClaw CLI handles the actual agent-to-agent message routing.
Ensure the openclaw CLI and jq are installed on your system. Install the skill, then use agent discovery to find available agents. Create a session with a target agent and begin exchanging messages. All conversations are automatically persisted locally.
